The Premier League 2022/23 action returns after the international break as Arsenal (ARS) will lock horns with arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur (TOT) in another enthralling North London derby in the first game of Matchday 9 at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 1. The match will kick off at 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

Under the tutelage of manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have been in scintillating form so far this season. The Gunners have registered six victories and just a solitary defeat in their seven matches in the Premier League this term. With 18 points from seven games, Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League 2022/23 standings, one point ahead of defending champions Manchester City.

Arsenal will head into the derby high on confidence after defeating Brentford 3-0 in their previous Premier League fixture. William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus and Fabio Viera netted one goal each to power Arsenal to another dominating win.

On the other hand, Tottenham are unbeaten in the Premier League this season along with Manchester City.

Led by star manager Antonio Conte, Tottenham thrashed Leicester City 6-2 in a high-scoring Premier League fixture in their last game in September.

Son Heung-min bagged a stunning hat-trick while Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Rodrigo Bentancur scored a goal each to help the Lilywhites continue their unbeaten streak.

Having registered five wins and two draws, Tottenham are currently placed third in the Premier League standings with 17 points from seven games.
