CWG 2022 match 9: AUS-W vs PAK-W T20I Fantasy Preview and MPL Top Picks

Match: Australia women vs Pakistan women T20I (AUS-W vs PAK-W)

Date: August 3, 3:30 PM IST

Venue: Edgbaston, Birmingham, England

Australia women will take on Pakistan Women in Match 9 of CWG Women’s Cricket 2022. Australia have already qualified for the semi-finals after wins over India and Barbados. Pakistan, on the other hand, are yet to win a game at the CWG 2022, and their chances of making it to the next stage are too little, even if they beat Australia comprehensively.

Australia come into this game on the back of a huge victory over Barbados. The bowlers put up a terrific performance to bowl out Barbados for just 64 runs. Alana King picked up four wickets while Tahlia McGrath and Ashleigh Gardner chipped in with five wickets combined. In the second innings, Australia wrapped up the chase in less than nine overs.

Pakistan, on the other hand, come into this game on the back of a loss against India. Batting first, the Bismah Maroof-led side was bowled out for 99 runs in 18 overs, and the only significant contribution came from opening batter Muneeba Ali (32). Later, their bowlers were unable to defend the target as Smriti Mandhana scored a half century.

Australia will be looking for their third straight win while Pakistan will be looking for their first. Ahead of match 9 of CWG cricket 2022, let’s look at the head to head of both the teams, pitch report, weather update, top picks for your MPL fantasy team and more.
