2nd Test at Chittagong – Bangladesh cricket team again managed to score only 148 in the 1st innings while Pakistan scored 465/9 and then declared. Bangladesh needed 317 runs to avoid the follow-on but was able to score only 148. Pakistan cricket team won the 2nd test by an innings and 169 runs.

Asian Test Championship (2001/2002)

Pakistan and Bangladesh played the 1st match in the tri-series. Bangladesh cricket team elected to bat first and scored 134 in the 1st innings and 148 in the 2nd innings. On the other side, Pakistan scored 546/3 and then declared in the 1st innings itself due to which they won by an innings and 264 runs. 

Bangladesh in Pakistan (2003)

It was a 3-match test series between Bangladesh cricket team and the Pakistan cricket team. In the 1st test at Karachi, Bangladesh scored 288 and 274 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Pakistan scored 346 and 217/3 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively due to which Pakistan won the 1st test by 7 wickets.

In the 2nd Test at Peshawar, Bangladesh cricket team put up a mighty score of 361 in the 1st innings. In return to it, Pakistan scored 295. Bangladesh was restricted to 96 runs in the 2nd innings due to which it became easy for Pakistan cricket team and they scored 165/1. Pakistan won the 2nd test by 9 wickets.

In the 3rd Test at Multan, Bangladesh scored 281 and 154 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. In reply, Pakistan scored 175 and 262/9 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Pakistan cricket team won the match by 1 wicket. 

Pakistan in Bangladesh (2011/2012)

It was a 2-match test series between Pakistan cricket team and the Bangladesh cricket team. In the 1st test at Chittagong, Bangladesh scored 136 and 275/9 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Pakistan had scored 594/5 and then declared in the 1st innings itself. Pakistan was able to win the 1st test by an innings and 184 runs.

In the 2nd test at Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium, Bangladesh cricket team put up a great fight by scoring 338 and 234 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Pakistan in return scored 470 and 107/3 in the 1st and 2nd innings respectively. Pakistan cricket team won the 2nd test by 7 wickets.

Pakistan in Bangladesh (2014/2015)

It was a 2-match test series between Pakistan cricket team and the Bangladesh cricket team. In the 1st test at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium, Pakistan scored 555/6 and then declared in the 1st innings. In return, Bangladesh scored 332 in the 1st innings. Pakistan scored 628 in the 2nd innings. The result of the match was drawn as Bangladesh cricket team did not get to bat in the 2nd innings.

In the 2nd test at Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium, Pakistan cricket team scored 557/8 and then declared in the 1st innings, while Bangladesh cricket team scored 203 only. Pakistan scored 195/6 and then declared in the 2nd innings, but Bangladesh could only score 221 in the 2nd innings. Pakistan won the 2nd test by 328 runs. 

In total, Pakistan and Bangladesh have played 10 test matches since 2001/2002. Out of the 10 matches played, Pakistan cricket team won 9 matches, and 1 match was drawn. Bangladesh has not been able to win even a single test match against Pakistan till now.  

ICC Cricket World Cup Matches

Pakistan and Bangladesh have come across each other in 2 matches during the ICC World Cup tournaments. Out of these 2 games of World Cup, Bangladesh cricket team has been victorious in 1 game while Pakistan cricket team has also been victorious in 1 game. 

The highest total that had been posted by Bangladesh is 223 while the same for Pakistan is 315 during their clashes in the World Cup matches. The lowest score for Pakistan is 161, while the same for Bangladesh is 221.

One Day International Records

Bangladesh cricket team and Pakistan cricket team have played 35 One Day International matches against each other. Out of these 35 matches, Pakistan has managed to win 30 matches while Bangladesh has only won 5 matches. 

The 1st ODI match between Bangladesh and Pakistan was played in the Asia Cup in 1986 where Pakistan won by 7 wickets. The last ODI between Bangladesh and Pakistan was the 43rd match in the ICC World Cup 2019. In the last match, Pakistan cricket team won by 94 runs.

Bangladesh cricket team and Pakistan cricket team have played 10 Twenty20 International matches against each other. Out of these 10 matches, Pakistan has won 8 matches, and Bangladesh has won only 2 matches. 

The 1st match T20 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played in 2007 where Pakistan won the match by 30 runs. The last T20 match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was the 14th match of the ICC World Cup 2016 where Pakistan won the match by 55 runs.

Mahmudullah
Mahmudullah has been a great all-rounder for the Bangladesh cricket team. He has shown exemplary performance in the maiden ODI series win against West Indies in 2012. He has taken a total of 131 wickets and scored more than 5000 runs in all the formats of international cricket.

Abdur Razzak
He has been the lead spinner for the Bangladesh cricket team in the era of 2000s. His best performance was seen in the ODI series against Zimbabwe where he took 15 wickets in the entire series. Razzak has an amazing economy rate of 4.56, and he has taken 207 wickets in 153 ODI matches.

Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib is the best all-rounder that has ever played in the Bangladesh cricket team. He has played only 51 tests, but he has taken 188 wickets and also scored 3594 runs. He has also taken more than 200 ODI wickets. There have been several occasions where Shakib has rescued the entire team when he comes to bat in the middle-order.

Notable Players in Pakistan Cricket Team

Younis Khan
Younis Khan has proved its worth to the Pakistan cricket team since the last 15 years. He has scored 7589 runs for Pakistan in 90 tests with an average of 51.97. He has been able to score 24 centuries in test cricket, and he is only 1 century behind the legendary Inzamam for becoming the only batsmen to score most centuries for Pakistan.

Inzaman-ul-Haq
He has been a great part of the Pakistan cricket team during the time of captaincy of Imran Khan. He has scored 8830 runs in 120 tests with an average of 49.60. He has also scored 11739 runs in 378 ODIs with an average of approximately 40. He has scored the most number of centuries as a Pakistan cricket team player.

Wasim Akram
Wasim Akram could swing the ball from both the sides of stumps at a speed of 90 mph. He was the key player in the 1992 World Cup final between Pakistan and England. He has taken 414 wickets in 104 tests and 502 wickets in 356 ODIs.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh cricket team played their most recent match against team India. It was a 2-match test series and 3-match T20 series. India won the test series by 2-0 and the T20 series by 2-1.

Pakistan

Pakistan is currently playing a 2-match test series against Sri Lanka in which the 1st test match was drawn. Before the Sri Lanka tour, Pakistan cricket team played against Australia cricket team. It was a 2-match Test series and 3-match T20 series. Australia won the test series by 2-0 and the T20 series by 2-0.
