Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Barcelona hasn’t had any effect on the German giants as they looked pretty comfortable in chalking up the goals.
The Bavarians are running a monopoly in the German top tier as no other teams have managed to provide them with stiff competition so far. Mane is a natural successor for Lewandowski as he is likely to play a central role but he has the knack of gliding to the left flank.
Julian Nagelsmann is very astute with his strategy and he has already readied a plan for the ongoing season. Lewandowski has been the focal point for Bayern in the last few seasons but the Polish’s absence could be a boon for the other attackers.
They played in a very disciplined manner in the first match as the manager has oiled the machine pretty well and they are likely to keep the momentum high to stamp their authority in the German top tier.
Former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac is at the helm of Wolfsburg and he will definitely fancy his chances against his old side. Wolfsburg’s brilliant start last season provided enough catalyst for them to finish on a high but things started to unravel quite fast as they underwent a managerial change and finally Kovac has been handed the charge this season.
The manager loves to play with a high line of defence with encouraging and pressing football but against Bayern, they might opt for a more defensive approach.
