The second match of the women’s T20 competition in Commonwealth Games 2022 will witness Barbados going head to head against Pakistan. The two teams will meet in this Group A fixture at Edgbaston on Friday evening.

Barbados will represent the West Indies in the Commonwealth Games, with a team led by Hayley Matthews. These women haven’t played any T20Is for the West Indies in a while, with their last assignment coming in September last year. They managed to draw the three-match series 1-1 against South Africa, by winning the third game by five wickets. However, several key Caribbean players are not part of this squad, including Stephanie Taylor who is from Jamaica.

Pakistan will be led by the experienced campaigner Bismah Maroof. They played against Sri Lanka in May at home and won the series by 3-0. Ahead of the CWG 2022, they competed in a Tri-Series, where they defeated Ireland by 13 runs on DLS method while both of their matches against Australia ended in no result.

Tuba Hassan: Bowler, Pakistan
