Match 39: Five players to watch out for in the AS vs MS match

Here we take a look at five key players you must pick in your MPL fantasy XI:

Joe Clarke: Wicketkeeper Batter, Melbourne Stars

After a disastrous start to the season, Joe Clarke bounced back brilliantly to make an impact. The Englishman has scored 313 runs in the competition at an average of 31 while striking at 148. Clarke hammered four consecutive fifties but was dismissed cheaply in the last two games. Despite that he remains a solid bet for captaincy. Clarke costs 9 credits.

Glenn Maxwell: All-rounder, Melbourne Stars

One of the best T20 players in the world, Glenn Maxwell hasn’t performed in this BBL season to his standards although he has blasted a hundred and a fifty. He has scored 269 runs at an average of 29 and strike rate of 138. Maxwell opened the innings in the last game and scored an unbeaten 45-ball 68. He costs 10 credits and can be a good VC option.

Adam Zampa: Bowler, Melbourne Stars

Australia’s primary limited overs spinner has been outstanding in the T20 format for a while now. Adam Zampa has 230 wickets in T20 cricket at an economy of 7.30. He has done well for the Stars in the BBL 11, picking 8 scalps from as many games at an economy of 7.58. Zampa is coming off 2/18 in the last game and will cost you 8.5 credits.

Matthew Short: All-rounder, Adelaide Strikers
