BRI vs MU: Manchester United will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion as they are determined to cement their place in the top six in the Premier League.
Under the able leadership of Graham Potter Brighton have maintained a steady growth this season. The Seagulls don’t have any star players in their ranks but as a team, they have played some brilliant football over the last few months.
Barring a minor blip against Manchester City Brighton have had some really encouraging results as they have beaten North London neighbours Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in back to back matches.
A finish in the top ten is seemingly on the cards but Leicester City do have the advantage over them as they have played two games less than Potters’ side.
Brighton are yet to lodge a win at Amex Stadium as they are winless in their last eight games at their home. Given United’s tumultuous form they could deliver their third majestic result after success over the Gunners and Spurs in the top flight.
They showed a dominant display against Wolves in the last match as goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Leandro Trossard and Yves Bissouma were enough for them to register a valuable three points against their opponent.
United probably had their best performance against new entrant Brentford as they hardly allowed the Bees any chance in the game. Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 18th goal of the season while Raphael Varane and Bruno Fernandes were also on target.
United managed to end their disappointing run with a dominating win over the Bees but with no Champions League football next season they would be seeking to end the season on a positive note.
The appointment of Erik ten Hag raised questions over the future of a number of players and a number of players are expected to leave at the end of this season.
United have lost their four away games but it would be a huge task for Brighton to inflict another loss to Cristiano Ronaldo and Co.
