Faf du Plessis smashed 47* off 20 while Alzarri Joseph added 29* off 18 but Barbados Royals came out on top fairly comfortably.
Trinbago Knight Riders won their first match versus St Lucia Kings by three wickets while the second fixture was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Akeal Hosein starred with the ball in the first game, picking 4 for 13 in four overs as they restricted SLK to 143/9.
Chasing the target, Tion Webster made 58 off 45 whereas Tim Seifert crawled to 34 in 39 balls. Kieron Pollard hit 17 off 15, with Anderson Phillip finishing the game off with a six.

Rahkeem Cornwall smashed 39 in 25 balls against St Kitts and Nevis, following it with 32 off 17 in the second fixture. The power-hitter has 975 runs in the shorter format at an average of 20 while striking at 150. Cornwall has slammed four fifties in the format.
Andre Russell: All-rounder, Trinbago Knight Riders
Andre Russell was dismissed cheaply in the first game but remains a key player. He recently smashed 74 off 24 against in one of the 6ixty fixtures and 64* off 23 in one of the Hundred games. Russell has an incredible record in T20 cricket, with over 7000 runs at 27 average and 170 strike rate, while also picking 375 wickets.
