Venue: Stamford Bridge, London

Winner of this match will have a great opportunity of claiming top spot
Chelsea and Juventus, two giants from their respective nations, have had pretty contrasting campaigns this season. The reigning European champions, Chelsea have been superb in the Premier League, but not so in the Champions League.
They have lost only one of their 12 Premier League games this season, and with 29 points, Thomas Tuchel’s men are comfortably placed at the top of the table. However, in the Group H of the Champions League, they are only placed second.
The Blues started out with a 1-0 triumph against Zenit St. Petersburg, but in their second game, they were handed a 1-0 defeat by Juventus, which happened to be their first defeat of the season. Though they have won their last two fixtures against Malmo, the Blues looked far from convincing in their last fixture.
On the contrary, Juventus have been below average in their Serie A campaign. They have won only 6 of their 13 appearances are placed at only the 8th position, with 21 points to their account. But when it comes to the Champions League, they have not put a foot wrong.
Massimiliano Allegri’s boys won their first match 3-0 against Malmo and then got the better of Chelsea. In their last two matches, they have registered back-to-back victories against Russian outfit Zenit St. Petersburg, scoring 5 goals in the process.

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku is still recovering from his ankle problem and Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic will remain sidelined for a few more weeks with his hamstring injury, but besides that, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel will have a full-strength team to pick his starting XI from.
German attacker Timo Werner has recovered from his thigh problem, while Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso has also rejoined training after an ankle problem ruled him out for a while. Both of them are likely to make the starting XI for this match.
On the other hand, Juventus’ Argentine attacker Paulo Dybala is expected to be fit for this clash, but it is unlikely that Massimiliano Allegri will play him from the start. Instead, Dybala could play the role of a super sub.
Former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey will not be available to play against his old rivals because of an injury, while the Italian duo of Georgio Chiellini and Federico Bernardeschi are the other players who are likely to miss out.
Chelsea: Edouard Mendy; Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta; Reece James, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Marcos Alonso; Timo Werner, Mason Mount; Kai Havertz
Juventus: Wojciech Szczesny; Danilo, Leonardo Bonucci, Matthijs De Ligt, Alex Sandro; Juan Cuadrado, Weston McKennie, Manuel Locatelli, Adrien Rabiot; Alvaro Morata, Federico Chiesa
CHE vs JUV Top Picks
Reece James: Defender, Chelsea
Chelsea have spent heavily for their supremely talented attackers, and while the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz have been impressive, right-back Reece James is currently the Blues’ joint-highest goal-scorer with four goals.
That is not all, as he is also jointly topping the assists chart, with five assists to his name. All of James’ four goals have come in the Premier League – one each against Arsenal and Norwich City, and a brace against Newcastle United.
Alvaro Morata: Forward, Juventus
Alvaro Morata knows Stamford Bridge well enough, as he played here week in week out, not very long ago. The former Chelsea man is now leading the lines for Juventus and will be eager to show his past employers why it was a mistake to let him go.
The Spain international has scored four goals and has also given a couple of assists in his 15 appearances this season. He has scored once each against Malmo and Zenit St. Petersburg in the Champions League, and one each against Napoli and AC Milan in Serie A.
Captain & Vice-Captain Selection
For this match, we have gone with an off-beat captaincy choice. Reece James is getting into dangerous areas time and again in every game and is also coming up with goals and assists. Hence, we have made him our captain, while for vice-captaincy, we have gone with Juventus’ striker, Alvaro Morata.
