Bairstow’s absence means David Warner, who was dropped from the playing XI, will be back at the top of the order. T Natarajan has returned to full fitness after suffering an injury earlier this year.

Shikhar Dhawan: Batter, Delhi
Shikhar Dhawan has seen a remarkable turnaround in T20 cricket in the last three seasons. The left hand batter has provided Delhi great consistency at the top of the order while striking at a good rate. He has scored over 2000 runs since the 2018 season at an outstanding average and strike rate of 41 and 138, respectively. He has scored two centuries and 16 fifties in this period. Dhawan is the highest run-scorer of the ongoing season with 380 runs in eight innings at 54 average and 134 strike rate.
Prithvi Shaw: Batter, Delhi
The destructive opener is one of the best talents in Indian cricket and has already made his mark. Prithvi Shaw has terrific numbers in the shortest format, having smashed 1508 runs in 60 T20s at an average of 25 while striking at 150. The 22 yr old right hander brought consistency to his explosiveness for Delhi in the first leg, scoring 308 runs with 38.5 average at a fantastic strike rate of 166.5, including three half centuries.
Rashid Khan: Bowler, Hyderabad
The Afghanistan leg-spinner is in a league of his own. The best T20 spinner in the world, Rashid Khan has a magnificent record in the format, having played all over the world. Rashid has 384 wickets in 277 T20s at an exceptional average of 17.46 runs per wicket. The fast leggie has three five-wicket hauls and six four-wicket hauls to his name. Khan was, as always, superb for Hyderabad in the first leg, picking 10 scalps in seven games at a similar average and economy of 6.14
Kane Williamson: Batter, Hyderabad
Kane Williamson, one of the finest batters of the current generation, has transformed into a terrific T20 player in recent years. The New Zealander has done a superb job for Hyderabad, having scored 1747 runs at an excellent average of 42 and strike rate of 134. Williamson has scored 16 half centuries in the league. He scored 128 runs in the first half and was only dismissed once in four innings, including a fifty.
Rishabh Pant: Wicketkeeper Batter, Delhi
The Delhi southpaw has risen to new heights in the last year or so. Rishabh Pant has a sensational record in the Indian T20 League, where he has smashed 2291 runs in 76 innings at an average of 35 and a terrific strike rate of almost 150. He has one hundred and 14 fifties to his name in the history of the competition. Pant looked good in the first half of the season, scoring 213 runs at 35.5 average while scoring at 131 with the help of two fifties.
