About

Liverpool are one of the giants in the English Premier League. The Reds have been one of the most successful teams in recent times winning both the EPL and Champions League. The Reds have strengthened their position since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp and are currently considered one of the strongest teams in Europe.

Fenway Sports Group is the owner of the club which has also the ownership of the baseball team Boston Red Sox and the National Hockey League’s Pittsburgh Penguins. LeBron James who is also a part of the ownership helped the team in clinching the Nike kit deal which has helped the club in scaling their reach to a new height.

The kit deal with Nike currently guarantees the club a £30m per season and added to that they are entitled to a 20% royalties ob global sales of the club merchandise which could rake in up to £70m per season.

But the path wasn’t easy. The Merseysiders had to fight a court case with their former kit supplier New Balance as there was a clause in the contract which would have allowed the company to match the offer made by other companies.

The arrival of Jurgen Klopp has brought a revolution at the club. The German gaffer joined the club back in 2015 from Borussia Dortmund and has already lifted one Champions League and one Premier League title. He had to wait three seasons for his first success with the club.

The likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are some of the high profile footballers that the Reds currently have.

Road Ahead for LFC

The Reds have waited long for their recent success which has seen them transforming season after season. The inclusion of players like Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Virgil van Dijk has seen them performing on the pitch on a constant basis and they have been one of the most powerful teams across Europe in the last few seasons.

Success has been pouring in from all fronts and they recently signed a deal with Vista who will help the club to focus on their business by providing help with marketing and design services. Liverpool already have a number of exciting sponsors attached to their brand and the arrival of Vista will only enrich them.

The club is also in talks with Mohamed Salah for a contract extension. The Egyptian has been in unbelievable form since he signed for Liverpool and has already delivered one Champions League and one Premier League title.

Added to his on field performance the former Chelsea forward has also helped the club in ringing in huge shirt sales as he is amongst the top players to have registered huge commercial interest.

The club is also expanding the famous Anfield Road stand in a bid to increase their capacity by 7000 which could help almost 61000 people cheer their favourite team from the stands.

The Reds are expected to make some high profile signings in the summer as Jurgen Klopp’s side is likely to compete for the Premier League title next season.
