ISL Commentators: Top five ISL commentators and broadcasters

Commentators are the backbone of any football game and in India too we have seen some great moments narrated by the ISL commentators since the inception of the Indian Super League.

John Helm

The Englishman has done in bits in possible every competition around the world including the UEFA Champions League, FIFA World Cup, the Olympics and the European Championship. He was also a part of the I league broadcasting and reiterated to credit ISL should India qualify for the World Cup in near future.

Paul Masefield

Paul Masefield is one of the few known foreign names in Indian football. The former Birmingham City footballer arrived in Asia for the latter part of his football career and spent a brief period in Hong Kong.

He has been one of the leading football experts and pundits and his knowledge of Indian football has been pretty deep. Masefield has been a part of ISL TV shows and he is likely to continue his role for many more years to come.

Pradhyum Reddy

Pradhyum reddy has been one of the busiest ISL commentators. The Scotland born isn’t new to the Indian football scenario. His first managerial role was at Shillong Lajong and he helped the club win the I league second division championship in 2011. Subsequently, he became the Technical Director of their youth development team and left the club to sign for DSK Shivajians in 2013.

He also had a brief stint with Bengaluru FC as an assistant coach. In 2017 he moved to another Pune based club FC Pune City as an assistant coach and also had to manage the role of the coach on an interim basis.

Anant Tyagi

Anant Tyagi is one of the leading TV personnel in the Indian football circuit and he has been involved with the Indian Super League for quite a long period. Not only football Tyagi has also overseen competitions like ICC World Cup. Pro-Kabaddi and Indian Premier League.

He mainly hosts the TV shows for ISL and is also seen doing a bit of commentary during India’s recent AFC Asian Cup matches.
