Liverpool will try to continue their relentless run when they host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
Liverpool are just one point adrift of table topper Manchester City who lost their Champions League semifinal battle with Real Madrid and will push themselves further in the English top flight.
The Reds will be playing their third Champions League final in five seasons but with the hopes of a quadruple alive, they cannot shift their focus from this game.
Jurgen Klopp has managed his players quite brilliantly and he needs to keep them afresh as two major finals are awaiting them. The Merseysiders are also scheduled to take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final on 14th May and will be hoping to lift their second trophy in a season which has been pretty fascinating for them.
Despite their efforts they are still not guaranteed to lay a hand on the Premier League trophy should they overcome all their opponent in the remaining fixtures as Pep Guardiola’s team still has an edge over them.
The aftereffect following City’s devastating Champions League exit could have an impact on their mindset and it remains to be seen if that affects Liverpool’s fate or not.
Tottenham Hotspur have been in and out of the top four and currently, they are in fifth place, two points adrift of their North London neighbour Arsenal.
Antonio Conte’s men only have themselves to blame for this situation and from here on every match is a must win. With Arsenal facing Leeds United, Spurs need to grind out a positive result against the Reds and then hope for a miracle.
The North London derby is also scheduled to take place next week and both the teams will have their chance to settle the score. Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski have the potential to inflict damage on Liverpool’s infamous backline as the Reds saw their defence crumble against Villarreal in the second leg.
