London Spirit vs Manchester Originals, 6th Match:

It will be the former England white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan going head to head against his successor Jos Buttler in the 6th match of the Hundred. London Spirit and Manchester Originals will lock horns at Lord’s on Monday, August 8.

London Spirit began their 2022 campaign with a narrow victory of just 3 runs against Oval Invincibles. Eoin Morgan returned to form with an excellent 47 off 29 while timely contributions from other batters propel their total to 171/6 in their 100-ball innings. Defending the target, Jordan Thompson and Nathan Ellis combined to reduce Oval to 12 for 4 in 17 balls. London lost their way afterwards, with the equation coming down to 48 off 15 and then somehow managing to survive the Danny Briggs onslaught.

Manchester Originals suffered a six-wicket loss in their opening fixture at the hands of Northern Superchargers. They posted 161/4 batting first on the back of Jos Buttler’s 59 off 41 with handy contributions from Wayne Madsen, Andre Russell and Paul Walter. Adam Lyth gave Superchargers a great start but Matt Parkinson pulled things back, conceding only 20 runs in his 20 balls with a wicket. But Harry Brook’s 19-ball 33 took the game away from them.
