Manchester City will host Liverpool in the English Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday which could be a title decider.
Only one point differentiates both the teams as Pep Guardiola’s side has faltered in the last few matches as they have given away a healthy lead. Liverpool’s relentless run in the Premier League is a matter of concern for the Spaniard and he would like to finish the job this time.
Draws against Southampton and Crustal Palace and a loss at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur have dampened their hopes but they still have a firm grip on the title race and a win against Jurgen Klopp’s side would broaden the gap.
For Liverpool, it is a do or die battle. They cannot think of anything other than a victory and any mishap would only damage their title credentials. The quadruple dream is still very much alive but with City also marching ahead this game could have his aftermath in the latter part of the season.
With also a FA Cup semifinal scheduled next week between these two teams some exciting things might be in the offing it seems.
Liverpool have won their last 10 matches in a row but they have faced some stiff competition in the proceedings but their strong will power has helped them to see off some close games.
Liverpool had the perfect preparation for this match as they effortlessly won against Benfica 3-1 while Manchester City toiled hard to get past a rigid Atletico Madrid defence.
Liverpool solidified their attack by adding Luis Diaz to their ranks and since January they haven’t been defeated once in the top flight. In the 2018-19 season City pipped Liverpool to the Premier League title by just a solitary point but this time the title fight will go down to the wire it seems.
