Match: Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals, Finals (MI vs DC)
Date: November 10, 2020
Venue: Dubai Cricket Stadium – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
After 59 games, the IPL finals is finally upon us. The top two teams of the league stages, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, will face off against each other in the summit clash. While Mumbai won the Qualifier 1 and headed straight into the finals, DC, after losing Qualifier 1, got the better of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second Qualifier to book their first-ever spot in the IPL finals. Mumbai are a stronger team on paper, with almost every player in excellent form, and the defending champions will be hungry for their fifth IPL title.
Delhi, on the other hand, had a fine start to the season, but will enter the game with five losses in their last seven games. Their batting has been inconsistent, while their bowling has blown hot and cold of late, but they have world class players and they will want to end the drought and get their hands on the trophy for the first time.
There were heavy rains in Dubai a few days ago, but the weather is expected to be clear for the finals day.
The track at Dubai has slowed down of late and the track seems exhausted after two months of nonstop cricket. The slowness of the track means that batting first is not the easiest here, while chasing is easier due to the presence of dew.
The teams that will win the toss might opt to chase as dew will make its presence felt in the second half of the game. However, runs on the board in a pressure game might not be a bad option either.

MPL Fantasy Prediction for MI vs DC:
WK: Quinton de Kock has been in excellent form of late, as has Ishan Kishan. The former has plenty of experience and is a big-match player, while Kishan will be eager to stamp his mark on the big stage.
Batsmen: Suryakumar Yadav has been impressive this season, and will want to carry forward his form. Shikhar Dhawan was close to getting his third ton this IPL in the last game, and will want to give his team a solid platform. Shreyas Iyer has had an inconsistent IPL and will want to play a captain’s knock in the all-important final. Shimron Hetmyer scored a crucial cameo in the last game, and will want to play to his full potential in the finals.
All-rounders: Kieron Pollard scored a 50 two games ago, and has been in excellent form with the bat. He has been striking at a rate of 190.44 this season, and has also picked up 4 wickets with the ball. Marcus Stoinis has been the X-factor for DC this season. He is the only person in the IPL to have picked up 10 wickets and scored 350 runs this season.
