Match: Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (MI vs RCB)
Date:October 28, 2020
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Both Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are in the top half of the table and will seal their playoffs berth with a win here. However, both sides will enter the game on the back of a loss. While MI went down to Rajasthan Royals despite scoring 195, RCB were defeated by Chennai Super Kings. They managed to score just 145 in their first innings, which was easily chased down by CSK.
Both RCB and MI, however, have been the team to beat this season. Every batsman in the MI unit is in excellent form, while RCB are heavily reliant on Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. MI, however, have a stronger bowling unit with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Rahul Chahar and Trent Boult in the side.
The weather in Abu Dhabi is predicted to be in the high thirties with humidity close to 60%. There will hardly be any breeze, which will make life tougher for the cricketers.
The track has slowed down of late, and the slower bowlers will come in handy here. Both RCB and MI have lethal spinners, and they will be the key here. A target of 165 could be competitive.
The teams that will win the toss might opt to bat first and get a good total on the board, which will put the rival team under pressure. However, if there is dew, chasing might be an option.
MI Expected XI and Team News
There is a lot of discussion on the fitness of Rohit Sharma. The MI skipper has not played the last two games, and was not included in the squads for the tour of Australia either. If he continues to be unfit, Saurabh Tiwary is likely to hold his place in the XI.
Quinton de Kock: The MI opener has been in great touch in the last few games. He is one of the most dangerous players if he gets going, and can earn vital points with the gloves as well.
Jasprit Bumrah: The MI fast bowler has been spitting venom alongside Trent Boult. He has been unplayable this season, especially at the death where he has unleashed his yorkers.

RCB Expected XI and Team News

AB de Villiers: The South African has played a number of good cameos this season, and has been unstoppable thus far. He is a dangerous player and can also earn vital MPL fantasy points with the gloves.
Yuzvendra Chahal: The spinner has been the trump card for RCB over the seasons. He is expected to find plenty of help on the slow track here. He already has 16 wickets thus far and will want to add to his tally.
