MI vs SRH: Twitter hails Rashid Khan and T Natarajan for economical exhibitions

Bowling at Sharjah Cricket Stadium – the graveyard for bowlers in the concurrent edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) isn’t something one can pull off with ease unless one is  Rashid Khan or T Natarajan. Against Mumbai Indians (MI), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) managed to restrict the scoring ability in the middle and death overs courtesy of the aforementioned duo.

Hailed by many cricket pundits as the best T20 spinner in the world, Afghanistan cricketer Rashid Khan finished his quota of four overs while conceding just 22 runs and taking the wicket of the dangerous looking MI opener – Quinton de Kock – when he was well set on 67 off 39 deliveries with 4 fours and 4 sixes.

In his first three overs, the leggie scalped 1/20 and rendered an even impressive display in his final over when he conceded just a couple of runs.

Also, Rashid’s economy of 5.50 in the game against MI makes it the most economical spell by any bowler in the matches contested at Sharjah in the concurrent season.

Meanwhile, left-arm pacer T Natarajan excelled in the yorker display and played a big role in containing the runs in the death overs. So far, he has bowled over 20 yorkers in IPL 2020 which is the most by any player in the ongoing T20 season.

The 29-year-old had been very impressive in the initial three overs versus MI as he conceded just 16 runs.

He then backed up with another applaudable exhibition in the 18th over, giving mere 13 runs to the likes of Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya who were raring to capitalize a pacer’s over.

Though he remained wicket-less, still, Natarajan got the adulation from the fans on Twitter as he ended his day with figures of 4-0-29-0, restricting the four-time champions to a total of 208 runs.

Here’s how the cricket fraternity reacted the performances put up by Rashid Khan and T Natarajan in the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians –
