Netherlands vs England, 1st ODI:
England are on the tour of the Netherlands for three ODIs as a part of the ICC CWC Super League. The two teams will face off for the first time since 2011 when they meet in the series opener at VRA Ground in Amstelveen on Friday, June 17.
Netherlands are reeling at the bottom of the CWC Super League table with 25 points, having won only two out of 13 games. They were hammered in the series against New Zealand in April, losing it by 3-0. They then hosted West Indies and played some competitive cricket but lost the series by 3-0 again.
Eoin Morgan’s England, who will miss some of their top players due to the ongoing Test series against New Zealand, will be looking to gain all 30 available points from this series. They are placed third on the points table with 95 points, winning nine out of 15 matches. England haven’t played any fifty-over cricket since July last year. Their last assignment was against Pakistan, which they won by 3-0 with a second-string squad.
