The Netherlands will seek to make three in three when they host Poland in Rotterdam.
The Dutch have had a turbulent start to their UEFA Nations League campaign winning both their ties pretty handsomely. They dispatched Belgium 4-1 while against Poland they scored a last minute winner to settle the score.
Louis van Gaal changed the entire lineup that got past Belgium pretty fluently and still managed to break the Wales backline twice. Teun Koopmeiners provided a deserved lead to the visitors and the home side reduced the deficit through Rhys Norrington-Davies only to see Weut Weghorst notching up the winner at the other end.
Two wins have put them on top and things could hardly go wrong from here on. Louis van Gaal was handed the mantle following their Euro 2020 disappointment and it has been a memorable journey so far. The former Manchester United gaffer has managed to bind the squad under a roof and the Oranjes have been defeated only thrice since he took charge.
They are currently unbeaten at home for the last 11 matches and Poland might have a tough task to turn around their fortunes it seems.
Poland were given a taste of their own medicine as they were humiliated 6-1 by Belgium in the last match. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring for Poland but a Belgian burst took the game completely away from the Polish side.
Poland did win their first match against Wales and are sitting in third place. Relegation is not looming large at the moment and a positive result against the Dutch could shift the momentum in their favour.
Defence has been a concern for them but they have now scored on consecutive nine away matches which could lift the mood in the camp. Holland has won all their past five meetings with Poland and the latter would definitely want to change the record this time.
