With the whole tournament set to be hosted in UAE, the different playing conditions and unavailability of certain players is bound to change the equation of the Indian T20 League. While Team Delhi and Chennai ruled the roost in the first half of the competition hosted in India, the change in the host country could see teams like Kolkata and Hyderabad see a change in their fortunes.
Keeping all things in mind, MPL’s fantasy cricket has gone through some upgrades and tweaks to help their fantasy team owners to analyze better and win big.
The Fantasy Assistant
MPL fantasy cricket team owners will now get every pre-match detail – from pitch report to players’ past performances on a particular venue to the best predicted eleven – before creating a team, thanks to MPL’s Fantasy Assistant.
A significant addition since the first phase of the Indian T20 League 2021, the Fantasy Assistant will act as the ideal help for a user to create the best possible fantasy team. The “FA” sign on the top left corner of a match, accompanied by a flash, will provide details like the pitch report and the type of bowling it favors.
Not only that, but users could also get information regarding top players’ last five performances and their averages in a particular venue as well. Lastly, MPL’s Fantasy Assistant will suggest the best-predicted XI for a particular match, so that a user can put no foot wrong.
Brand New Season Ticket
The second half of the Indian T20 League will see MPL fantasy cricket introducing a new Season Ticket to access a FREE entry into the Grand Contests worth up to Rs 20 lakhs, which will be valid for all the remaining games of the season.
Upon purchasing the season ticket, users will also get a Rs. 5 bonus ticket for each match thereafter that can be used in any contest pertaining to that match. Not only that, but MPL is currently offering a 30% discount on the season ticket and users can purchase it for only Rs 99.
The Quick Edit
In a bid to make the team selection and edits more ergonomic for its fantasy cricket team owners, MPL has introduced the first-of-its-kind “Quick Edit” feature that will help in making last-minute team selection easier, while also monitoring your registered contests in one place.
In “Quick Edit”, MPL fantasy cricket team owners will get a new filter where the non-playing players from both the teams – who are not in the playing eleven after the team is announced – will be segregated accordingly, so that users can make quick decisions in the eleventh hour.
This feature segregates the players in order after a fantasy lineup is created, where users can see the non-playing players – who are not in the playing eleven – at the top, followed by the playing players – who are announced in the playing eleven. This will allow one to swap players quickly after the toss.
The “Quick Edit” feature will also make a particular team’s registered contests – Grand contest, Winner Takes All, Head to Head and Beginner’s Contest – visible on the “Edit Teams” page itself to help a user prioritize better in the last moment.
If these features weren’t enough, MPL also has a provision of “no minimum amount for withdrawal” for its fantasy cricket team owners, wherein one can withdraw all their winnings from their MPL wallet. MPL also credits one’s winnings within an hour of the conclusion of the match.
Android users can also enjoy a Home Screen Shortcut for MPL’s Fantasy Cricket, where they can quickly access it with just one tap on the Hamburger menu sign. Users can click on the hamburger menu on the home page > settings>Home Screen Shortcuts to use this service.

- Player Images: This new feature will particularly come in handy when building fantasy teams for the Indian T20 league. Every side has a huge pool of players and a lot of them are relatively unknown entities. With the images in place now, you will be able to know which player you are picking. In addition, there is an aesthetic appeal attached, which makes navigation and creating fantasy teams on MPL a wholesome experience.
- Player details and past performances: In a fast-paced tournament like the Indian T20 league where matches are played every single day, keeping yourself updated with the players’ statistics can become a task. The numbers change every single and tracking the performance of the players can be tricky. To sort this problem out, MPL has introduced a feature where you can check the performance of a particular player throughout the series. When creating your fantasy team, click on the image of any player and a pop-up will appear which shows his match-wise fantasy score, the number of points he has gained in the previous matches, and what percentage of people have selected him previously.
This feature will help you gain better knowledge of players’ past performance and whether they are in form. Additionally, right next to each player’s name, you will also find what percentage of people have picked him in their fantasy team for the previous match and the total points he has accumulated in the series.
Often fantasy players have to visit other websites to check a cricketer’s performance and his past records, which is time-consuming. With this unique feature on MPL, you can find all the details about a particular player with a single click.
- Copy team features: For every Indian T20 fantasy league match that you play on MPL, you can create multiple teams and join a number of contests. There are times when you might want to use the same team for various contests. To make things easier for you, MPL has introduced copy teams feature wherein you can simply copy the team and join other contests with it. You do not have to go through the arduous process of building your fantasy cricket team from scratch every single time.
