Match: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, 2nd T20I
Date: November 08, 2020
Venue: Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium – Rawalpindi, Pakistan
Pakistan got the better of Zimbabwe in the first T20 International, with the home team restricting the opponents to just 156. Babar Azam led from the front and struck a fine 82, which helped the team set up a brilliant win. Mohammad Hafeez, who was making a comeback, scored a breezy 36 as the Pakistanis took a 1-0 lead in the three match series. Earlier, the bowlers from the side had done a fantastic job, with Haris Rauf leading the way with figures of 2 for 25.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, were led by a fine 70 by youngster Wesley Madhevere, but the rest of the batters failed to get going. Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor got starts but were unable to carry on, which meant that the side ended with a below-par score. With no time for recovery ahead of the second T20I, the Zimbabwean unit have to bring their A game to the fore, else a series clean-sweep is what awaits.
The weather in Rawalpindi will be pleasant, with the evening temperatures in the early twenties. Winter is setting in the country, which will mean a chilly evening.
The track will be a flat one, with plenty of runs on offer. A target of anything below 175 might be easily chased down, with dew also setting in the second half of the game.
The teams that will win the toss might opt to chase as dew will make its presence felt in the second half of the game.
PAK Expected XI and Team News
Pakistan raced away to an easy win in the last game, and the skipper Babar Azam might want to test out the players who warmed the bench. However, we expect them to field the same XI, and make changes to the side if the home team manage to win the game today.
Babar Azam: The skipper carried his form forward from the ODI series and struck a fine 82 in the first T20I to help chase down the target of 157 without the team breaking into a sweat. He is one of the most talented players around, and will want to lead from the front yet again.
Mohammad Hafeez: The all-rounder is one of the most experienced players in the team and can pitch in with both bat and ball. He helped Azam in the last game with a fine 36 and will aim to get a big knock in the upcoming game.
Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam (c), Mohammed Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf , Usman Qadir, Wahab Riaz, Haris Rauf, Mohammed Hasnain.
ZIM Expected XI and Team News
The team might make as many as 3 changes to their XI after the side was unable to pitch in with a fight in the 1st T20I. Craig Ervine, Donald Tiripano and Wellington Masakadza might all get a look-in.
Brendan Taylor: The wicket-keeper is one of the most experienced players in the side and scored a hundred and a fifty in the ODI series. He got a good start in the last game but could not carry on, and will be eager to get a match-winning knock here.
Sean Williams: The all-rounder played a quick cameo of 25 in the last game, and will want to get a big knock here. He can pitch in with both bat and ball, and has been the team’s go-to player in recent players.

Head to head record of PAK vs ZIM:

MPL Fantasy Prediction for PAK vs ZIM:
WK: Brendan Taylor was brilliant in the ODI series, and will be itching to get some runs in the second T20I. The wicket-keeper got off to a fine start in the last game, scoring 20 in 13 balls before he was Haris Rauf’s first victim.
Batsmen: Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam will open the batting, and will have the entire 20 overs to leave a mark against an iffy Zimbabwean bowling side. Azam raced away to 82 in the last game off just 55 balls, while Zaman will be hoping to get a big score. Haider Ali is one of the most talented youngsters from Pakistan and will hope to leave a mark.
All-rounders: Mohammad Hafeez scored 36 in the last game and ensured that his team got over the line. He has plenty of experience, as does Sean Williams, who got 25 in the last game and will be looking to contribute yet again. Wesley Madhevere hit his sixth 30+ score in the last 9 innings in the first T20I, and was impressive in his knock of 70.
Bowlers: The trio of Shaheen Afridi, Wahab Riaz and Haris Rauf can be lethal, and will want to get the inexperienced Zimbabwean batting unit out early. Blessing Muzarabani picked up 2 wickets in the last game and was the standout bowler from his team.
Captain and VC: Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman
Match Prediction for PAK vs ZIM:
It seems impossible to stop Pakistan in the format, and they will enter the second T20I high on confidence after a clinical showing in the last game.. They are the firm favourites to seal the series today.
