Pakistan Women started their ICC Women’s Championship campaign in style, securing a series win over Sri Lanka with one match to go. The third and final ODI of the series will take place at the same venue that is Southend Club Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Sunday.
A clinical performance helped Pakistan best the visitors by 73 runs in the second game. Muneeba Ali and Sidra Ameen registered the highest opening partnership ever for Pakistan, putting on 158 in 35.3 overs. Muneeba scored 56 while Sidra Ameen went on to score a big 123 off 150. Bismah Maroof added 36* as they posted 253/2 in 50 overs.
Chasing the target, Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals barring a 61-run partnership between Harshitha Madavi and Kavisha Dilhari. For Pakistan, Fatima Sana was outstanding with the ball as she bagged 4 for 26 with three maidens to help the hosts restrict Sri Lanka to 180/9.
Pakistan have claimed four crucial points towards the ICC Women’s Championship with two wins. Sri Lanka would hope to get at least one win on this tour on Sunday.

Sana has snared four or more wickets on three occasions. She has been superb in the ongoing series, picking 2/24 in the first game and following it up with 4/26. Nida Dar: All-rounder, Pakistan
Nida Dar, the experienced campaigner, has pretty good numbers for Pakistan in the fifty-over format. She has scalped 85 wickets from 93 ODI matches at an economy of 4.05 with three four-fors. The allrounder has over 1400 runs to her name, averaging 18 with 10 fifties. Dar is priced at 9.5 credits.
Bismah Maroof: Batter, Pakistan
