Pakistan Women vs Sri Lanka Women, 3rd T20I:

Pakistan Women claimed an unassailable lead in the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka with back to back victories. The final T20 international will take place at the same venue of Southend Club Cricket Stadium in Karachi on Saturday.

The second T20I followed pretty much the same script as the first one with the Sri Lankan batters failing to get significant scores. Five bowlers from the hosts claimed a wicket each to restrict the opponent to 102/6 in 20 overs. Hasini Perera was the top scorer for Sri Lanka with 35 runs but those came in 51 balls. Chasing the target, the hosts lost three early wickets but Bismah Maroof and Ayesha Naseem’s unbeaten 71-run partnership took them over the line with 17 balls to spare. Ayesha Naseem was the star with the bat, blazing her way to 45* off 31 balls.

Earlier in the series, Pakistan Women claimed a six-wicket win over the visitors in the first T20I, chasing down 107 in 18.2 overs. Sri Lanka Women would be hoping to produce a better display in the third game and try to earn a consolation win.
