PSG vs Barcelona: Can Messi & Co. repeat the La Remontada? ̧

The European Mammoths are both in hot forms with comfortable victories in their last league matches. Barcelona bested Osasuna by 2-0 in La Liga while Paris smashed Brest 3-0 in Coupe de France.

A pitch that Messi mastered all his life, Camp Nou, in a matter of 90 minutes Mbappe produced some stunners, some believe Messi’s era is gone, and now is the time for the French kid to rise up and take his place at Barcelona.

As Neymar and Di Maria watched from the medical room, everyone expected Paris to struggle against the Spanish giants, and Messi bolstered their confidence with a perfect penalty.

However, all it took was 5 minutes to get on equal terms.

The odds are against the Catalans, but Barcelona can still concentrate on the season and take Atletico Madrid off the top spot. A second comeback seems impossible with the home advantage wiped out.

Team News

Everyone was looking forward to Neymar playing against his former club today, but PSG recently confirmed that the Brazillian attacker will be unavailable for the UEFA fixture. Florenzi is set to return to this match. There are only three confirmed misses from the Parc de Princes – Neymar, Kean, and Juan Bernat.

Pochettino made a few changes in his last clash against Brest in Coup de France. Navas, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, and Kurzawa are back. With Neymar missing the match, Verrati, Mbappe, Icardi, and Di Maria will be holding the engine for PSG.

Spanish winger Ansu Fati and veteran Brazilian midfielder Coutinho will definitely miss the match tonight. Jordi Alba also fell in the last game but should be available today. Koeman’s 3-4-1-2 experiment is working well, so they may go for a similar formation in Paris.

Barcelona is expected to have an unchanged side from the Osasuna game. The only change that could happen is Junior Firpo might replace Alba if he’s deemed unfit.
