Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will host Brest in Matchday seven of the Ligue 1 2022/23 at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France on Saturday, September 10. The match will kick off at 8:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).
Under new manager Christophe Galtier, PSG have been in impressive form in Ligue 1 this season, registering five victories and one draw in their six outings so far. With 16 points from six matches, the Les Parisiens are currently placed second in the Ligue 1 2022/23 standings, one point behind leaders Lens, who have played one game more.
PSG head into the Ligue 1 clash brimming with confidence, having defeated Serie A giants Juventus in their UEFA Champions League 2022/23 opener at the Parc des Princes.
Star forward Kylian Mbappe netted a brace in the first half to help PSG secure three valuable points at the start of their UCL 2022/23 campaign. For Juventus, Weston Mckennie scored the consolation goal in the 53rd minute.
PSG also defeated Nantes 3-0 in their previous Ligue 1 fixture last weekend and will look to continue their scintillating form in the French league.
On the other hand, Brest have struggled in the Ligue 1 this season, registering one win, two draws and three defeats in their six matches so far. Michel Der Zakarian’s Brest are currently placed 17th in the Ligue 1 2022/23 standings with five points from six games.
Brest were held to a 1-1 draw by Strasbourg in their last Ligue 1 clash at the Stade Francis-Le Blé on Sunday and will need to bring their A-game if they are to stun a star-studded PSG outfit.
