South Africa vs Bangladesh, 2nd ODI: 

After pulling off their first ever ODI victory against the Proteas in the rainbow nation, Bangladesh will take on South Africa in the second One-Day international in Johannesburg. The two teams will lock horns at the Wanderers Stadium on March 20. 

The Tamim Iqbal-led side claimed a 38-run victory over South Africa in the first ODI at Centurion to go 1-0 up. Batting first, they posted 314/7 on the back of Shakib Al Hasan’s excellent 77. Liton Das and Yasir Ali also scored fifties. 

Bangladesh pacers then rattled the SA top order with three early wickets. Rassie van der Dussen scored 86 and added important partnerships with Temba Bavuma and David Miller. Miller blasted 79 off 57 but after his dismissal in 46th over, it was only a formality. Mehidy Hasan Miraz returned the figures of 4/61 while Taskin Ahmed picked 3/36.

South Africa, who are currently in 10th place of the CWC Super League with 39 points, need to win the remaining two games. Bangladesh, on the other hand, sit at the top with 110 points.

The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg is an excellent venue for batting with plenty of value for shots. Seamers could get some assistance as well. South Africa missed Quinton de Kock in the first game as the medical team was monitoring his recovery. A call on his participation will be taken ahead of the match. Kyle Verreynne was his direct replacement. Andile Phehlukwayo could make way for Dwaine Pretorius.

Shakib is coming off a terrific knock of 64-ball 77 and is a good C/VC option at 9.5 credits. 

Rassie van der Dussen: Batter, South Africa

Rassie van der Dussen has had a spectacular start to his ODI career. He has scored 1335 runs from 33 matches at an outstanding average of 75 and strike rate of 89. He has registered two hundreds and 11 fifties in the format. The right hand batter is coming off 86 off 98 in the last game. Rassie costs 9.5 credits and is a solid C/VC option. 

Liton Das: Wicketkeeper Batter, Bangladesh

Liton Das is one of the most talented batters in the Bangladesh circuit. He has 1608 runs to his name from 51 matches at an average of 34, including five hundreds and as many fifties. In his last three ODI innings, Liton has registered scores of 136, 86 and 50. He’s priced at 8.5 credits and can be a good VC option.  

Taskin Ahmed: Bowler, Bangladesh

The 26yr old fast bowler is one of the best bowlers from Bangladesh. Taskin Ahmed has 62 wickets to his name from 46 ODI matches at a strike rate of 34.4. He has registered three four-wicket hauls and one five-for. Taskin was excellent in the last game, snaring 3 for 36. He’s priced at 8.5 credits. 

David Miller: Batter, South Africa

David Miller is amongst the best players in the ODI format. The stylish left hander has 3487 runs from 141 matches at an average of 41 while striking at 101. He has five hundreds and 17 fifties to his name in this format. Miller is coming off a terrific 57-ball 79 in the last game. He’s priced at 8.5 credits.
