Match: South Africa vs England, 1st T20I (SA vs ENG)
Date: November 27, 2020
Venue: Newlands – Cape Town, South Africa
South African cricket is facing one of their bleakest moments at their moment, as they are without a functioning cricket board, most of their players have retired or have either signed Kolpak deals. They have not had the best results on the field of late as well, but they will be hoping to bring some cheer when they take on the English team. However, they will not have the task as easy as apart from Quinton de Kock and Faf du Plessis, most players lack experience.
England, on the other hand, are one of the most talented and threatening teams in the world at the moment. In Eoin Morgan, Dawid Malan, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow, the team has some of the biggest match-winners. The sheer quality of the visiting side in contrast with the inexperience of the home team tilts the balance in favour of England.
The sky will be cloudy and the weather will be pleasant. However, rain is expected to stay away, so we are in for a full match.
The track at Newlands has plenty on offer to the batters, and we expect a high-scoring affair. A target of 190 could be par.
The teams that will win the toss might opt to chase. The ground is a small one and the wicket is a belter, and the teams batting second will fancy their chances.
