Match: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings (SRH vs CSK)
Date:October 13, 2020
Venue: Dubai Cricket Stadium – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
SRH will be disappointed with their loss against Rajasthan Royals in the previous game, which means that they now have just three victories from seven games. They are currently fifth on the points table and will be eyeing a win here to get their campaign back on track. SRH, though, will take confidence from the form of their openers and middle order batters, especially Manish Pandey and Kane Williamson. T Natarajan and Rashid Khan are threatening with the ball and will be the key.
CSK, on the other hand, are getting from bad to worse in every game. Their batting has just failed to click, with no player other than Faf du Plessis performing well consistently. The team has just two wins from seven games thus far, and will need to win at least five more games to make the top four. MS Dhoni has been unable to find his groove with the bat thus far, and he will be eager to play a captain’s knock.
A hot and humid evening awaits in Dubai. It will be a dry and a clear evening with hardly any breeze.
The ground in Dubai is a well-balanced track. Runs will be easy to score in the first half of the innings but the pitch will dry down as the match progresses. A target of 170 can be competitive.
The toss will be important as the wicket here will get slower in the second half. Chasing will not be the easiest, and the team that wins the toss will be looking to bat first.
SRH Expected XI and Team News
Despite SRH losing their last game, David Warner is unlikely to make any changes to the XI. Mohammad Nabi, one of the best all-rounders in the format, is warming the benches, however, and fans would love to see the Afghan star in the team.
David Warner: The SRH skipper has announced his arrival in IPL 2020 in style. Even though his strike rate is not the best this season, he has been scoring runs and can go into attack mode at will.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan spinner has been outstanding for SRH this season. He will find the conditions in Dubai to his liking, and if SRH defend, Warner will be relying on Rashid Khan’s expertise in the middle overs.

CSK Expected XI and Team News
Though CSK are in the dumps, they lack resources and a strong bench strength to make massive changes. Ambati Rayudu and Deepak Chahar are off-colour but MS Dhoni might persist with them due to lack of options.
Faf du Plessis: The South African has been the only bright spark for CSK this season with three fifties to his name thus far. He has been opening the innings of late and will have the onus of anchoring the innings.
Sam Curran: The all-rounder has been lethal with both bat and ball in hand and will have a huge role to play if CSK want to get over the line against SRH.

Head to head record of SRH vs CSK:
Chennai Super Kings have a huge upper hand over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL over the years, with CSK winning 9 matches and SRH with 4 wins. The two sides had met each other this season earlier, with SRH edging ahead by 7 runs.
MPL Fantasy Prediction for SRH vs CSK:
WK: Jonny Bairstow is in terrific form and had scored a fine 97 a few games ago. He was unable to get going against RR, but he is a dangerous player if he gets going. MS Dhoni bats lower down the order, which is why we have omitted him.
Batsmen: Faf fu Plessis has scored three fifties in the league and has been the only positive from the CSK batting line-up. Shane Watson has scored two fifties thus far and has returned to form of late after a few silent games. Ambati Rayudu had started the edition on a high and had won the Man of the Match against Mumbai Indians, and will be looking to star yet again. David Warner has returned to form and will be looking to lead from the front, while Priyam Garg is a promising youngster and can play a good hand lower down the order.
All-rounders: Sam Curran has been batting with a strike rate of more than 160 this season, and he would hope that CSK sends him higher up the order. He has also pitched in with the ball and has picked up vital wickets. Dwayne Bravo has plenty of experience, with more than 500 T20 wickets to his name. He is also a dangerous finisher.
Bowlers: Rashid Khan has been the key player for SRH this season and will be crucial in the middle overs. Khaleel Ahmed lends variation with his left-arm pace, while Shardul Thakur has been the most impressive CSK bowler thus far.
Captain and VC: Jonny Bairstow and Faf du Plessis
Match Prediction for SRH vs CSK:
Both teams are struggling for form, but we give CSK a slight advantage. They have plenty of experience and are led by one of the greatest skippers seen in the game. Expect them to turn their fortunes around.
