Match: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals (SRH vs DC)
Date:October 27, 2020
Venue: Dubai Cricket Stadium – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Delhi Capitals will want to get back to winning ways and gain some momentum when they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. The Shreyas Iyer-led side have won seven games from 11 matches thus far but will enter the game on the back of two losses, including a mauling against Kolkata Knight Riders that they had lost by 59 runs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had defeated Delhi earlier in IPL 2020 but are the out-of-form team with just four wins thus far. They recently went down to Kings XI Punjab by 12 runs as they failed to chase down 126. Their batting is too top-heavy and while their bowlers have been on the mark, inconsistencies have affected them.
The weather in Dubai will hover around the 37-degree mark during the day, but the temperatures will ease down as the night progresses. There will be a slight breeze blowing as well.
The track had plenty of runs on offer in the initial haf of the tournament but has slowed down considerably. There is a lot of help for the pacers but the big-hitters will fancy their chances. A target of 160 will be competitive.
The teams that will win the toss might opt to bat first and get a good total on the board, which will put the rival team under pressure. However, if there is dew, chasing might be an option.
SRH Expected XI and Team News
The SRH side got in Khaleel Ahmed for Shahbaz Nadeem in the last game, but the fast bowler was expensive. They might get in Nadeem for the game against Delhi Capitals. Jason Holder is expected to hold on to his spot after impressive bowling performances at the cost of Kane Williamson.
Jonny Bairstow: The Englishman had scored a fifty when the two teams had last met in IPL 2020. He has 345 runs thus far and will want to give his side another solid start.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan spinner picked up 2 for 14 in the last game, which took his tally to 14 wickets this season. He has been the key for SRH in the middle overs, and will want to lead the charge with the ball yet again.
David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Priyan Garg, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan, Khaleel Ahmed
DC Expected XI and Team News
Ajinkya Rahane made the XI in the last game over Prithvi Shaw but an early dismissal might mean he misses out. Anrich Nortje played the last game after missing out earlier, with Daniel Sams making way.
Kagiso Rabada: The South African is the Purple Cap holder with 23 wickets thus far. He picked up two wickets in the last game to continue his good run in the IPL.
Shikhar Dhawan: The Delhi Capitals opener has been in stunning form of late, with two fifties and two hundreds in his last five innings. He has more than 400 runs thus far, and has focused on his strike rate as well.

Head to head record of SRH vs DC:
Sunrisers Hyderabad have a slight advantage against Delhi Capitals in the history of the IPL, winning 10 of the 16 games between the two. Delhi have won 6 games, but lost to them earlier this season. SRH had scored 162 for 4, and then restricted Delhi to just 147 for 7 to garner two vital points.
MPL Fantasy Prediction for SRH vs DC:
WK: Rishabh Pant has not been selected in the Indian squad for the T20Is and the ODIs against Australia and will want to answer his critics wrong. He has blown hot and cold this season, and will want to play a defining knock. Jonny Bairstow has lacked the consistency of 2019 but has over 300 runs to his name, and is well deserving of a place in the NPL team.
Batsmen: Shimron Hetmyer is a dangerous player lower down the order for Delhi Capitals. He can strike the ball a long way and can anchor the innings in case of early wickets. David Warner has not been at his best but is the leading run scorer of SRH and will want to play a good hand in an important game. Manish Pandey has finished off a few games of late, and has taken on the onus in the absence of Kane Williamson, who is nursing an injury.
All-rounders: Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel have been the X-factor in the middle for Delhi Capitals. While Stoinis has played a couple of handy knocks, Patel has been lethal with the ball. Holder has picked up 5 wickets in 2 games.
Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada has 23 wickets to his name, while Rashid Khan has 14. The duo are crucial for their respective teams, especially in the death overs. Sandeep Sharma can be counted upon to get a few breakthroughs with the new ball.
Captain and VC: David Warner and Jonny Bairstow
Match Prediction for SRH vs DC:
While Delhi are in the top half of the table, they have stuttered in the last two games with their batting woes coming to the fore. SRH are a team in trouble as well, and desperately need a win here to keep their playoffs chances alive. We back them to come good as the “nothing to lose attitude” might help them.
Sunrisers Hyderabad might win.
