Match: Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders (SRH vs KKR)
Date:October 18, 2020
Venue: Sheikh Zayed Stadium – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Sunrisers Hyderabad have been inconsistent this season and will be eager to register an important win against a struggling KKR. The side has had individuals raise their game an doerform on occasions, but they have just not been able to click together as a unit. Apart from Rashid Khan, SRH have lacked consistency. They are yet to win a game while chasing this season, which shows that they have crumbled under pressure.
KKR, on the other hand, despite a team of match-winners, have been inconsistent. Though they have 4 wins from 8 games, they have not yet hit their peak. Their batting is a huge cause of concern and they will come into the game against SRH on the back of two huge losses – against RCB and Mumbai Indians.
The weather in Abu Dhabi will be hot and humid, with temperatures touching the 40-degree mark. It will be a day game, which will further put the players under pressure.
The ground in Abu Dhabi is becoming slower with each passing day. Though Mumbai Indians chased down a target of 149 against KKR at this venue with ease on Friday, overall, the teams have preferred batting first.
Earlier, the teams that won the toss were eager to chase at the venue, but the wicket has become slower of late. Batting first will be the preferred option.
SRH Expected XI and Team News
Sunrisers Hyderabad have tried out a number of combinations this season, but not many have worked out. Despite the loss in their last game, SRH might not make many changes to their XI. Vijay Shankar might get dropped with either Abdul Samad or Abhishek Sharma coming in.
David Warner: The SRH skipper has 280 runs from 8 games and is the team’s highest run-scorer thus far. He has plenty of experience and will hope to give his team a handy start.
Rashid Khan: The Afghan spinner has been in excellent form for his team. He has picked up wickets in the middle overs and has been economical as well.

KKR Expected XI and Team News
KKR are struggling with their batting this season and they can make a few changes to the XI after two drubbings in the last two games. Nitish Rana might get dropped for Siddhesh Lad, while Chris Green might be benched for Lockie Ferguson. Kuldeep Yadav should get a look in as well, with Prasidh Krishna making way.
Eoin Morgan: The KKR skipper anchored the innings and helped KKR post a challenging total against Mumbai after the top order had failed. He is one of the biggest match-winners in the format and will be eager to play a captain’s knock.
Andre Russell: The all-rounder is yet to fire with the bat but he is an X-factor and can always be backed to come good. He has been excellent at the death with the ball for KKR.

MPL Fantasy Prediction for SRH vs KKR:
WK: Jonny Bairstow has not had the best season thus far, but he opens the batting which makes him a better selection than Dinesh Karthik. The Englishman is a dangerous player and will look to come good.
Batsmen: Eoin Morgan anchored the innings well in the last game and will look to get a big knock against SRH. Rahul Tripathi has a couple of big knocks this season and will be looking to continue in the same vein. David Warner is the highest run-scorer for SRH this season, while Kane Williamson has played crucial cameos batting in the middle order. Priyam Garg is vastly talented and can play a few good shots.
All-rounders: Andre Russell is yet to fire for KKR with the bat but he has been vital with the ball. He should be backed to come good as he is too good a player to miss out for long.
Bowlers: Shivam Mavi has bowled a number of good overs this season and has been among the wickets as well. Varun Chakravarthy has been the lead spinner for KKR in the absence of Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine, and he has not disappointed. Rashid Khan has been the key in the middle overs while Khaleel Ahmed offers variation with his left-arm pace bowling.
Captain and VC: Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan
