The Hundred 2022: Full schedule and squad for both the men’s and women’s competition

The Hundred is a 100-ball franchise cricket tournament run by the England and Wales Cricket Board. Involving eight men’s and eight women’s teams, the inaugural edition of the tournament took place in July and August 2021. 100-ball a side means each match lasts around two-and-a-half hours.

The format includes 100 balls per innings, a change of ends after 10 balls, bowlers delivering either five or 10 consecutive balls and a maximum of 20 balls per innings, a 25-ball powerplay start and no-balls worth two runs and a free hit.

All men’s and women’s matches, last year, were held on the same day at the same venue. Each team plays four matches at home and four matches away in the league stage. The teams that finish on top of the men’s and women’s league progress straight the final. The teams finishing second and third compete in the Eliminator, with the winner progressing into the final.

The eight teams in both the men’s and women’s competition are Birmingham Phoenix,
London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets and Welsh Fire

The 2022 season of The Hundred will be the second season of The Hundred. The men’s competition gets underway on August 3, while the women’s competition will begin on August 11.
