Match: St Lucia Zouks vs Trinbago Knight Riders
Date: August 26, 2020
Venue: Queens Park Oval – Port of Spain, Trinidad And Tobago
Two in-form sides will face each other in what is an exciting CPL 2020 clash on Wednesday. Table-toppers Trinbago Knight Riders are the only unbeaten side in this year’s edition, while the Zouks lost their opener but have come back strongly since then with three successive wins. The Zouks have defeated Tridents, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, and the Guyana Amazon Warriors and will be looking to get the better of TKR.
The Knight Riders, on the other hand, have had the better of Warriors, Tallawahs and the Tridents thus far. They have a number of in-form and experienced match-winners, who can be dangerous prospects on their day.
Weather and Pitch Conditions:
The first week of the CPL saw plenty of rain but the prediction for the next few days looks promising. Sunny morning with high humidity means that rain should stay away. The pitch here will keep low and slow, and run-scoring might not be the easiest. Spinners will have plenty of say.

ZOUKS Expected XI and Team News
The Zouks did not make any changes to their line-up after the first two wins but did include Kimani Melius, Javelle Glen, and Chemar Holder in the XI last time around. The three players could hold on to their places for this match.
Roston Chase: The all-rounder has smashed two fifties thus far and has also been impressive with the ball as well. His all-round form makes him a real threat.
Andre Fletcher: After an important innings in the rain-affected clash against Barbados, Fletcher was in top form in the last game, hitting 46 from 33 balls. He bats up the order and will be looking to continue his run.
Scott Kuggeleijn: The bowler has been impressive this year with ten wickets to his name already. He has hauls of 4 for 33 and 3 for 24 in his last two matches respectively, which is evidence of his form.

TKR Expected XI and Team News
Khary Pierre, despite being expensive in the first few games, was economical with the ball in the last match and could hold on to his spot. TKR have been unchanged this season, and they have no reason to change the trend.
Sunil Narine: The all-rounder started CPL 2020 with two consecutive fifties and has been impressive with the ball as well. He opens the batting and can bowl in the power-play overs as well, and is the key player.
Colin Munro: The batter hit an unbeaten 49 in the second game and continued in the same vein last time around, hitting a fifty in just 30 balls.
Dwayne Bravo: The all-rounder has 499 wickets in his T20 career, and will be itching to get to the 500-wicket feat in this game. He is a reliable finisher as well with the bat, and can never be counted out.

MPL Fantasy Prediction:
WK: Fletcher is in fine form currently, having amassed 96 runs from four games. He also bats higher up the order, which makes him the ideal choice for vice-captaincy.
Batsmen: Lendl Simmons, Munro and Darren Bravo are my picks from TKR. While Munro has scored two back-to-back fifties and is the third highest run-scorer in CPL 22020 with 116 runs from three matches, Bravo averages 49 in the edition. He is coming off a fifty in the last match and will be expected to play the role of an anchor once again. Simmons can be a match-winner on his day and deserves a look-in. Mark Deyal started the CPL with a crucial innings and is a great differential to have in the side.
All-rounders: Narine, Mohammad Nabi and Chase are all expensive picks but worth the credits. Narine opens the innings and is a reliable star with the ball in hand as well. He has scored 111 runs thus far at a good strike rate and also has picked 4 scalps. Nabi bats lower down the order and more often than not finishes the games for his team. He has scored 90 runs thus far and has picked up three wickets. Chase is the second highest run-scorer this season with 122 runs and has five wickets to his name as well, and is a must-have in the MPL fantasy side.
Bowlers: Kuggeleijn is the highest wicket-taker in this year’s CPL with ten wickets and is in fine bowling form. He is accompanied by Fawad Ahmed and Ali Khan, both of whom cost less than nine credits. Ahmed will get plenty of assistance from the track on offer and has kept things tights, while Khan has four wickets and can be a partnership-breaker in the middle overs.
Captain and VC: Sunil Narine and Andre Fletcher
Two in-form teams take the field and it is tough to predict who will come out on top. However, on paper, it is Trinbago Knight Riders who surge ahead, with the kind of players they have in their ranks. Narine, Dwayne and Darren Bravo, Munro, Pollard and Tim Seifert can all pack a punch and the Zouks will have to be at their best bowling rhythm to defeat the table-toppers.
Trinbago Knight Riders are expected to win.
