Bangladesh U19 vs UAE 19
From Group A, Bangladesh U19 and UAE 19 will take on each other in match 21 of the U19 World Cup 2021 – 22. Both the teams have two points each after winning and losing one of their respective two games, but Bangladesh U19 have a better net run rate then the other team.
Bangladesh U19 lost their opening game to England U19 after failing to defend 97. Their batting was thoroughly disappointing, with the best knock of 33 surprisingly coming from their number 11 batsman. England U19, on the other hand, chased down the target in only 25 overs with the help of 44 runs from Jacob Bethell. The Tigers second game was against Canada U19, which they won comprehensively to boost their net run-rate. After bowling out the opponents for 136 in 44 overs, Iftakher Hossain’s half-century helped Bangladesh U19 gun down the target with 119 balls remaining.
UAE U19, meanwhile, won their opening game before losing the next. They won by 49 runs against Canada U19 after defending 284 runs. Punya Mehra and Ali Naseer scored in 70s, while the bowlers put up a combined effort and shared 10 wickets between them. Naseer was named Player of the Match for his 50-ball 73. In their next game, however, UAE 19 were outdone by England U19, with both their batsmen and bowlers underperforming. After conceding 362 runs, they were dismantled for 173.
Captain and vice-captain
Ali Naseer can be a good choice for your MPL team’s captaincy for this game. He scored 73 runs against Canada U19, and followed that with another half-century against England U19 while also picking up a wicket. Naseer can win you points with both the bat and all. He is priced at 9.5 credits.
Iftakher Hossain can be tried for your MPL team’s vice captaincy. The southpaw scored an unbeaten 61 in his most recent outing and will be looking to carry that form into the next game. He is priced at 9 credits.

India U19 vs Uganda U19
From Group B we have India U19 and Uganda U19 clashing in match 22 of the U19 World Cup 2021 – 22. Defending champions India U19 have already qualified for the quarterfinals after winning their last two games of the group stage. In their opening game, India U19 defeated South Africa U19 by 45 runs after defending 232. Captain Yash Dhull stood out with a knock of 82 runs, while Raj Bawa and Vicky Ostwal picked up nine wickets between them.
This was followed by a win against Ireland U19 by 179 runs. Batting first, India U19 posted a total in excess of 300, in reply to which Ireland U19 could manage only 133. Openers Angriksh Raghuvanshi and Harnoor Singh shared 164 runs for the first wicket, while all the bowlers put up a combined effort to send back all the Ireland batsmen. With 4 points, India are currently on the top of the group B points table and have already made it to the quarter finals. However, Yash Dhull, Shaik Rasheed, Manav Parakh, Aaradhya Yadav, and Sidharth Yadav will not be available for the match as they have tested positive for COVID-19.
Uganda U19, on the other hand, are placed at the bottom of Group B and have already been disqualified from the race to the quarter finals. In their first game of the season, Uganda U19 lost to Ireland U19 by 39 runs. Chasing 236 to win, the Pascal Murungi-led side managed only 197. This was followed by another loss, this time to South Africa U19 by 121 runs. Batting first, the Proteas put up 231 runs on the board with the help of a century from Dewald Brevis. In reply, Uganda U19 managed only 110, with the top individual score from among their batsmen being only 29. Their batting was thoroughly disappointing, with only three batsmen managing to score in double digits.
Captain and vice-captain
Ideally, India skipper Yash Dhull would have been the best choice for captaincy, but since he has tested positive for Covid19, the next best choice would be Harnoor Singh, who scored 88 runs in his most recent outing. Earlier in the warm-up against Australia U19, the southpaw scored an unbeaten century.
The best choice for vice-captaincy will be Angriksh Raghuvanshi, who scored 79 against Ireland U19 and has also put up fine performances in other U19 ODIs over the last few months.

Pakistan U19 vs Papua New Guinea U19
The 23rd match of the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2022 will be played between Pakistan U19 and Papua New Guinea U19 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad, at 6:30 PM IST and 9:00 AM local time. Pakistan Under 19 are already through to the Super League quarter-finals with one game still left to be played. They are currently right at the top of Group C with two wins in two games. In their opening game of the tournament, Pakistan U19 beat Zimbabwe U19 by a huge margin of 115 runs. A knock of 135 runs from Haseebullah Khan took them to 315 in the first innings, after which they bundled out Zimbabwe for 200. They followed this with another win against Afghanistan U19 in their next game. After posting 239 in the first innings, the Pakistan U19 bowlers did a good job to not let the opposition go beyond 215.
PNG, on the other hand, have lost both of their first two games and come into this contest with no points in their kitty. Their first loss came at the hands of Zimbabwe U19, and the manner in which they lost the game was a huge hit to their net run-rate. Chasing 321, PNG were bundled out for only 93. The highest individual score from their batsmen was 15 runs. PNG’s next loss came to Afghanistan U19. This loss was no less embarrassing, as they were bowled out for just 65 in their chase of 200. Only one batsman managed to score in double digits.
Captain and vice-captain
Pakistan wicket keeper Haseebullah Khan scored only two runs in his side’s most recent game against Afghanistan U19, although he did take two catches with the gloves. But he was Pakistan U19’s best performer in their tournament opener against Zimbabwe U19. Khan scored 135 runs in Pakistan U19’s eventual total of 315 and also took three crucial catches behind the stumps. The elegant southpaw was also named the Player of the Match for the same. Khan can be a good choice for your MPL team’s captaincy. His price for this game on the app is 8.5 credits.
With most PNG U19 players having disappointed in the tournament so far, it will be safer to pick for your MPL vice-captain too from among the Pakistan U19 players. Right arm medium pace bowler Awais Ali bagged six wickets in the game against Zimbabwe U19, and followed that with another three wickets against Afghanistan U19. His economy rate has also been impressive. Additionally, the 16-year-old has two wickets each in the four professional matches he played before the World Cup. Ali can be a good pick for your MPL team’s vice-captaincy. He can be bought using 8.5 credits.

Afghanistan opening batsman Bilal Sayedi can be trusted for your MPL team’s vice captaincy. The 17-year-old scored 42 against Pakistan U19 and is one the best batsmen in the current Afghanistan U19 team.
