West Indies vs Bangladesh, 1st ODI:
Having clinched both the Test and T20I series, West Indies will host Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series. The first One-Day international will take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana on Sunday, July 10.
Although the series will not be a part of the CWC Super League, it offers both the teams some crucial gametime in the format. Bangladesh are sitting at the second place on the table with 120 points from 18 matches, having won 12 and lost six. They don’t have any more fixtures in the Super League but have pretty much qualified for the ODI World Cup. Their previous series was a big success, beating South Africa by 2-1 away from home.
West Indies, on the other hand, are placed fifth with 80 points from 21 matches. They have won only eight matches while losing 13. Their last two assignments had contrasting results. While they defeated the Netherlands by 3-0, they ended up on the receiving end of a clean sweep against Pakistan. The men in maroon, however, have found some form in the T20 series with the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, Rovman Powell and Brandon King doing a good job.
