West Indies vs Bangladesh, 1st T20I:
Having swept the Test series by 2-0, West Indies will now host Bangladesh in the T20I leg starting from July 2. The first of the three T20Is will take place at Windsor Park in Dominica on Saturday.
The two sides, with completely different personnel to their Test setups, will be looking to find the right players as they prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup. This will be the first T20 assignment for newly appointed West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran. Earlier this year, the men in maroon defeated England by 3-2 at home. Later they were swept by 3-0 at the hands of India away from home.
Bangladesh have also been struggling with stability within their T20 outfit and the results have only highlighted their worries. They hosted Pakistan in November last year, which ended in a 3-0 series defeat. In March this year, they had to settle on a 1-1 draw against Afghanistan. Bangladesh hammered Afghanistan by 61 runs in the first game but were beaten by eight wickets in the second.
