WI vs BAN, 2nd ODI – MPL Fantasy Preview and Top Picks

Match: West Indies vs Bangladesh, (WI vs BAN, 2nd ODI)

Date: July 13, 2022 – 7:00 PM IST

Venue: Providence Stadium, Guyana

The second game of the ODI series between West Indies and Bangladesh will be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana on July 13. West Indies were completely thrashed in the opening ODI and will be looking to bounce back in the second game.

Batting first, the hosts put up a mere 149 runs on the board. Five of the batsmen scored in single digits, while the top score of 33 came from Shamarh Brooks. For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam was the wrecker-in-chief, picking up four wickets in his eight overs. Mehidy Hasan picked up three wickets while Mustafizur Rahman chipped in with one.

150 was never going to be a difficult target to chase for Bangladesh and they wrapped up the chase in 31.5 overs. Mahmudullah remained unbeaten on 41 while Tamil Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto scored in 30s.

Bangladesh’s bowling has looked very strong in their last few international games, and that is something the hosts will be wary of in the second game. However, it can be pointed out that their fielding was rather ordinary – the visitors dropped four catches in the first ODI, which took their tally to 14 for the year in ODIs.

Ahead of the second ODI, let’s look at the head to head total of both points, pitch report, weather update and more.

Pitch Report and Weather Forecast for West Indies vs Bangladesh, 2nd ODI
