Five players to watch out for

Here we list five players you must pick in your MPL fantasy XI for MAN-W vs WEL-W

Hayley Matthews – all-rounder, Welsh Fire

Hayley Matthews, who was among the top 5 run-scorers in the inaugural edition of women’s Hundred, has not got off to the best of starts this year, having scored only 20 runs in the previous game. But she is still an essential pick for your fantasy team. Last season, she scored 221 runs in eight innings at a strike rate of almost 120 while also picking up 11 wickets. Overall in 64 T20 internationals, Matthews has 1133 runs and 60 wickets.

Tammy Beaumont – batter, Welsh Fire

Tammy Beaumont, much like Matthews, was not able to contribute with the bat in Welsh Fire’s opening game of the season, but is still a must-have in your MPL team. Beaumont, who played for London Spirit last year, has plenty of experience in franchise cricket, which includes four different teams in the Big Bash League. In international T20, she has played 99 matches, from which she has amassed 1721 runs at an average and strike rate of 23.90 and 108.37.

Deandra Dottin – bowler, Manchester Originals

Deandra Dottin picked up two wickets in the game against Trent Rockets and will look to put up a similar performance in the next game. The all-rounder is one of the most experienced players in women’s cricket. In 127 T20 internationals, Dottin has 2697 runs at an average of more than 25 along with 62 wickets.

Sophie Ecclestone – bowler, Manchester Originals

Sophie Ecclestone picked up one wicket in the game against Trent Rockets. She picked up three wickets against Sri Lanka at the recent Commonwealth Games and overall has 78 wickets in 58 T20Is. She is also a part of other franchise tournaments like WIPL and BBL.

Amy Satterthwaite – batter, Manchester Originals

Amy Satterthwaite scored only nine runs in the game against Trent Rockets, but she is another of those players who bring plenty of experience to the table. Amy has played 111 T20 internationals, from which she has 1784 runs at an average of almost 22. She is also a useful bowler and has 22 wickets in the format.
