The two big signings made by Phoenix for this season is Sophie Devine and Ellyse Perry. Also joining them this year is 15 year-old Davina Perrin, the youngest player to be a part of the tournament.

When Fire and Phoenix met last year, the latter registered a comprehensive win. Batting first, Welsh Fire scored 127 runs in 100 balls, which the Phoenix chased down in only 76 balls without losing any wickets. Openers Shafali Verma and Eve Jones scored a half century each.

With the ball, she was among the top 10 wicket-takers with 11 wickets in eight games. Overall in 64 T20 internationals, Matthews has 1133 runs and 60 wickets.

Tammy Beaumont – batter, Welsh Fire

Tammy Beaumont, who played for London Spirit last year, will be plying her trade for Welsh Fire this season. She has plenty of experience in franchise cricket, which includes four different teams in the Big Bash League. In international cricket, she has played 99 T20s, from which she has amassed 1721 runs at an average and strike rate of 23.90 and 108.37.

Ellyse Perry – batter, Birmingham Phoenix

Ellyse Perry is one of the best all-rounders in women’s international cricket and is also currently ranked second in the international ODI all-rounder rankings. She brings with her the experience of 126 T20Is, from which he has a batting average of 27.84 along with 115 wickets. This will be Perry’s debut season in the Hundred and she will be looking to make an instant impact with her experience. Perry has also won two BBL titles with Sydney Sixers.

Deepti Sharma – bowler, Birmingham Phoenix

Deepti Sharma picked up four wickets at the Commonwealth Games and also scored a few crucial knocks with the bat. Overall she has played 66 T20Is for India, from which she has taken 67 wickets.
