Women’s Premier League 2023: MUM-W vs UP-W Fantasy Preview and MPL Top Picks

Match: Mumbai Indians vs UP Warriorz

Date: March 18, Saturday, 3.30 PM IST

Venue: Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai

In the 15th match of WPL 2023, UP Warriors Women will take on Mumbai Indians Women at the DY Patil Stadium on Saturday, march 18. This will be the first double header of the day.

Mumbai Indians are sitting right at the top of the points table, having been unbeaten in the tournament so far. In their most recent game, Mumbai beat Gujarat by 55 runs. Batting first, the hosts scored 162 runs in their 20 overs on the back of good knocks from Yastika Bhatia (44), Nat Sciver (36) and Harmanpreet Kaur (51). Later in the game, Sciver and Hayley Matthews picked up three wickets each to help the Indians win by 55 runs.

UP Women, on the other hand, have won only one of their last four games. They come into this game on the back of a loss at the hands of RCB. Batting first, UP Warriorz posted a total of 135 runs on the board, which they were unable to defend. This was also RCB’s first win of the season.

While Mumbai Indians have already made it to the playoffs, UP Warriorz are almost out of the race, unless all the permutations go their way, which is going to be unlikely.
