Bangladesh are in Zimbabwe for three T20Is and as many ODIs, starting July 30 in Harare. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, recently beat Papua New Guinea and Netherlands to qualify for the upcoming 2022 T20 World Cup. However, their performance against full member countries has been disappointing. Zimbabwe lost all six matches (three T20Is and three ODIs) against Afghanistan at home last month. Zimbabwe will be hosting India later this month, before traveling to Australia. Ahead of the games against top teams, the hosts will be looking to find some rhythm.

Bangladesh have named Nurul Hasan as stand-in skipper in place of rested Mahmudullah, while Liton Das will be at the helm in ODIs as Shakib Al Hasan has opted to rest.

The opening T20I will be played on July 30, the second T20I on July 31 and the third T20I on August 2. The ODI series will be played from August 5 to 10. All the games will be played at the same venue in Harare.
