It was initially launched as the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Kings (CSK) in the first season but was rebranded in the 2025 season as the team struggled to make a noteworthy impact on the tournament. This rebranding was made to give the team a fresh identity and build a stronger bond with local fans and the community. The team’s name, “Warriors,” reflects Satara’s historical legacy of bravery and resilience. Since their debut, the Warriors have been a competitive team, known for their balanced squad and spirited performances.

In the inaugural MPL season (2023), the Satara Warriors showed a promising performance, however, they didn’t qualify for the playoffs. In the 2024 season, they finished in fourth place. The team has leveraged the local cricket talent of Satara, building a strong foundation of players from district-level tournaments. The Satara Warriors cricket team is owned by Manpreet Uppal and Gaurav Ghadoke. Uppal is the director of Wine Enterprises Pvt Ltd, while Ghadoke is associated with the GG Infra company. The team was initially led by Captain Murtaza Trunkwala when the tournament began. In the 2025 season, Saurabh Nawale, a wicket-keeper-batter, is leading the team.
