About
Arsenal FC are one of the powerhouses in English football. The Gunners have been one of the most consistent performers in the English Premier League for the last few decades.
It was founded as Dial Square Football Club in 1886 but later the name got changed to Arsenal. 13 League titles and 14 FA Cups speaks volumes about their credentials. They currently hold the most number of FA Cup titles.
Arsene Wenger remains an integral part of the club despite his retirement from his managerial career. The French gaffer is the most decorated manager in the history of the North London club and won three league titles alongside seven FA Cups.
They are also the only club to have the ‘Ínvincibles’ Premier League title when they went undefeated throughout the 2003-04 season. No other club has managed to achieve the feat till now.
The club is wholly owned by Stan Kroenke. Kroenke started buying the club’s stake in 2007 and in 2018 he completed the takeover process. Arsenal supporters have not been very kind to their owner and protests have been very regular at the club.
The club’s current valuation is 2.8 billion dollars and they are one of the richest football clubs in the world. The club also roped in Adidas in a kit deal bidding goodbye to their long term partner Puma. This deal allows Arsenal to get around £60m per season almost double of what they were earning from the Puma deal.
The Emirates Stadium is one of the most iconic places and it has been the club’s home stadium since they shifted from the Highbury Stadium in 2006.

Since the inception of the Premier League, the Gunners have managed to lift the title three times under the guidance of Arsene Wenger. In the 2003-04 season, they went on to create a record as they didn’t lose a single game on their way to the Premier League title. No other team has managed to achieve that feat so far.
Arsene Wenger Era
The name Arsene Wenger is very synonymous with Arsenal. The French manager was at the helm of the North London club for a long period and he is currently the most successful manager of the club.
A number of players with the likes of Thierry Henry, Ashley Cole, Dennis Bergkamp, Robert Pires, Sol Campbell blossomed under him and went on to create a legacy for the North London giants.
Wenger unleashed Henry in the Premier League and the former French forward took very little time to conquer the league. He became the focal point of Arsenal attack and used his lethal power and technique to deal with the opponent defenders. He netted 228 goals for the Gunners winning two Premier League in the process.
He was also a part of the famous invincibles that won the league without losing a match for the entire season.
Wenger also recorded 7 FA Cup wins during his stay at the club which is a record as no other manager has managed to lift the prestigious cup so many times. The influence of Patrick Vieira in the midfield and Dennis Bergkamp’s presence in the attacking third worked wonders for Arsenal.
Wenger retired back in 2018 and the Gunners supporter will remain in debt for him what he achieved at the club.

Road Ahead for AFC
With no European football, it has been a tough ride for Arsenal so far. The Gunners will be definitely aiming for a Champions League spot as it could boost their chances of landing new exciting players and it could also help them in getting brand new sponsorship deals.
The resurgence of Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White has helped the team in reshaping their way towards a refreshing playing style. Mikel Arteta has managed to get the best out of the current crop of players and the likes of Emile Smith Rowe has contributed vigorously to the occasion.
There were rumours of Spotify owner Daniel Ek interested in buying the club and even saw his bid rejected by the current owner. He is likely to renew his interest once again and it remains to be seen whether he could manage to convince Stan Kroenke to sell the North London club to him.
The Gunners will need to spend some cash in a bid to bring in some players to replace a number of players who haven’t lived up to the expectations. In the last few transfer windows, the Gunners could not manage to fulfil their transfer commitments as they often fall behind to secure their targets.
But they cannot repeat the mistakes any more and need to be sharp and precise in the transfer market. They have been in the market for a striker and are likely to dig deep in the summer as it stands.
