Shubham Buney Biography and Career

Born in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, Shubham Dubey is an explosive left-handed batter and an occasional right-arm off-break bowler who has established himself as a finisher in Indian domestic cricket and the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Known for his hard-hitting batting and ability to clear boundaries with ease, Dubey has emerged as a rising star for Vidarbha and the Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Dubey's cricketing journey began with his T20 debut for Vidarbha in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, but the breakthrough moment in his career came during the same tournament in 2023. His quick 58 runs off 20 balls at a strike rate of 290 against Bengal led Vidarbha to a record run chase and caught the attention of IPL scouts. In the 2025 season, Dubey, batting at No. 6 or sometimes even at No. 7 for the Rajasthan Royals, has performed exceptionally well. As of now, he has played 8 matches this season and scored 99 runs. His best performance in the 2025 season came against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He scored a quick 34* runs in just 11 balls at a strike rate of 309.09.
