For example, a King high straight flush is ranked higher than a Queen high Straight Flush. The only difference between a Straight and a Royal Flush is the presence of Ace.

Four of a Kind

This hand has four cards of the same rank/value. If two or more poker players share the same set of cards, then the highest value wins. If two or more players have the same four of a kind, then the fifth card decides the winner.

Full House

If the players have the same high card then the value is determined by the value of the next cards like 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th then so on. The player with the higher ranking wins the pot.

Straight

This hand has five cards in sequence, not necessarily of the same suit. In the event of a tie, the best card is determined by the highest ranking card. A straight hand consisting of K, Q, J,10,9,8 will beat Q,J,10,9,8,7. Another thing to point out is that Ace can be used as the low card for a straight of A,2,3,4,5.

Three of a Kind

It has three cards of the same rank, and two completely unrelated cards.

Two Pair

A two pair has two cards of the same rank, plus an additional card. When there is a tie, the highest pair wins. If the highest pair is also the same, then the next pair bags the pot.

One Pair

One pair simply has two cards of the same rank, and three additional cards. The value of the pair determines the winner when there is a tie. If players have the same pair, then the best hand is determined by the value of the highest additional card.

High Card

When a hand doesn't rank amongst any of the category, then it is a high card. It is judged on the value of the highest-ranked card among the five. If players have the same highest card, then the value of the sequence counts.
