India come into this game after comprehensively defeating Bangladesh. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each to restrict Bangladesh to a first innings total of 256, which India chased down in 41.3 overs, thanks to a century by Virat Kohli and a first-wicket partnership of 88 runs between Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma.
New Zealand, on the other hand, defeated Afghanistan in their previous game. Will Young, Tom Latham and Glenn Phillips scored half centuries to propel New Zealand to a first innings total of 288, before bowling out Afghanistan for 139.
India have defeated New Zealand in the last three ODI matches between the two, but they have not defeated them at any World Cup since 2003 and will be looking to break the jinx this time around.

With his ability to swing the ball both ways and dismiss the top order batsmen early on, Boult can be a game changer for the Kiwis.
Devon Conway – wicketkeeper batsman, New Zealand
Devon Conway has been in fine form over the last one month. In the ongoing World Cup, he has scored 249 runs in four innings at an average of 83. This includes a century as well. Before the World Cup began, Conway had already scored 308 runs in the subcontinent in 2023 at an average of 51.
Shubman Gill – batsman, India
Shubman Gill has been in an incredible form this year. He is the leading run-scorer for India in ODIs in 2023, with 1299 runs in 22 ODIs. He scored a half century in the previous game and will now be looking to deliver against one of the strongest teams in the competition.
Jasprit Bumrah – bowler, India
With 10 wickets in four games at an average of 13.40, Jasprit Bumrah is the leading wicket taker for India so far in the tournament. He picked up two wickets each against Australia, Pakistan and Bangladesh, and four wickets against Afghanistan.
