After 12 matches of the UAE leg, Chennai are on the top of the points table, followed by Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Punjab, Rajasthan, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Chennai and Delhi need just one more win to confirm a spot in the playoffs. Chennai have four matches remaining, against Hyderabad, Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab, while Delhi will play their next three games against Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore.
Bangalore, placed third on the points table, started the UAE leg with two back to back losses against Kolkata and Chennai. But a 54-run win over five-time champions Mumbai has helped them stay afloat in the competition. The Virat Kohli-led team now needs to win two of its next four games to make it to the playoffs. Their upcoming games are against Rajasthan, Punjab, Hyderabad and Delhi.
Kolkata, who won only two games in the tournament’s first half, have been a much improved team in the second half, winning three of their four games. They now have five wins in 11 games and 10 points. The two-time champions need to win all their remaining games to ensure a berth in the playoffs, unless they want to depend on the results of other teams. Kolkata’s next three matches are against Punjab, Hyderabad and Rajasthan.
Punjab, Mumbai and Rajasthan have eight points each and need to win all their remaining four games to make it to the playoffs. This can vary according to their net run-rate after each game and the result of other teams.
Eighth placed Hyderabad have managed just two wins in 10 matches this season, and while they are not yet out of playoffs contention, the chances to make it to the top four look slim.

Step 1: You will see a banner at the top of the MPL app’s homepage that says ‘Indian T20 League Weekend Season Ticket.’ Click on it.
Step 2: After you clicked on the ‘Indian T20 League Weekend Season Ticket’ banner, you will be redirected to a page titled ‘Tickets.’ Select the ‘Buy’ button next to the ‘Indian T20 League T20 Ticket.’
Step 3: After clicking on ‘Indian T20 league T20 Ticket’, you will find a page where you can purchase the ticket. Additionally, you will also find information about the validity of the ticket and relevant terms and conditions. Tap on ‘Buy now for ₹16’, and a page titled “Add Deposit Cash” will open.
Step 4: On the ‘Add Deposit Cash’ page, you will see the existing amount in your MPL wallet at the top. Under that, you will find an option to add more money to your MPL wallet if you would like to. Then click on the ‘Proceed to add cash’ option where you can pay the money via Netbanking, Paytm wallet, Phone Pe, Google UPI, and debit or credit cards.
