How to watch the BAN-W vs IND-W: Everything you need to know

India women are on the tour of Bangladesh for a limited overs series, starting from July 9. The BAN-W vs IND-W series will be the first assignment for Indian women since the T20 World Cup in February, where they went down in the semifinals against the eventual champions Australia.

This white-ball series marks the beginning of a busy schedule for India women with South and New Zealand set to tour India for white-ball series. Later England and Australia are also scheduled to visit India for all-format tours.

Following their heartbreaking loss in the semifinal, Indian women finally had an opportunity to display their talent in a full-fledged women’s T20 league. And rest assured, they’re stronger than before with that experience.

The last time these two teams met in a T20I was in October 2022 in the women’s Asia Cup, where India came out on top by 59 runs. Shafali Varma scored 55 runs with the bat and picked two wickets.

March 2022 was the last time these two faced off in an ODI, which came in the World Cup. India posted 229/7 while batting first on the back of Yastika Bhatia’s fifty. Sneh Rana then picked four wickets to help India win by 110 runs.

There’s no doubt India women are overwhelming favourites to win both the T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh. But the hosts will be hoping to use home advantage to spring up a surprise or two.

As the women in blue begin the next chapter, here’s everything you need to know about the BAN-W vs IND-W 2023 fixtures, how to watch and top players to watch out for.
