However, he will be playing only as a specialist batsman and not an all-rounder, as his left knee issue still persists. Five players to watch out for

Here we list five players you must pick in your MPL fantasy XI for ENG vs SA, Cricket World Cup 2023

Quinton de Kock – wicketkeeper batsman, South Africa

Quinton de Kock has so far been South Africa’s best batsman in the tournament. He started with two consecutive centuries against Sri Lanka and Australia respectively, and despite being unable to do well against the Dutch, de Kock is still a good option for your MPL team’s vice captaincy for this game.

Jos Buttler – wicketkeeper batsman, England

England captain Jos Buttler is yet to play his A game in the 2023 World Cup, but it wouldn’t be a wise idea to leave him out of your fantasy team. With the kind of experience Buttler brings to the table, a big knock could be round the corner. In 172 ODIs for England, Buttler has scored 4895 runs at an average of 41.13.

Kagiso Rabada – bowler, South Africa

Kagiso Rabada has started the tournament on a good note, picking up seven wickets in three games two each against Sri Lanka and Netherlands, and three against Australia. Rabada will be expected to play a key role in keeping the England batsmen in check.

Joe Root – batsman, England

Joe Root scored only 11 against the Netherlands, but started the tournament with 77 against New Zealand and 82 against Bangladesh. Root brings with him the experience of 165 ODIs, from which he has scored 6416 runs at an average of 48.97.

Aiden Markram – batsman, South Africa

Aiden Markram has been performing brilliantly for South Africa. Against Sri Lanka a few days ago, he achieved the record of scoring the fastest century in World Cup history, reaching the triple figure in only 49 balls. Against Australia, he scored 56 from 44 balls. Markram will now be looking for another big knock in the next game.
