Five players to watch out for

Here we list five players you must pick in your MPL fantasy XI for NZ vs BAN, Cricket World Cup 2023.

Devon Conway – batsman, New Zealand

Devon Conway is the top run-scorer for New Zealand so far in the tournament. From two games, he has scored 184 runs. Against England, he scored an unbeaten 152, which was followed by a significant contribution of 32 runs against the Netherlands. Conway has plenty of experience playing at the M Chidambaram Stadium, which is the home ground of the IPL team he plays for.  Conway can be a good pick for your MPL team’s captaincy for this match.

Rachin Ravindra – batsman, New Zealand

Rachin Ravindra is the second top run-scorer for New Zealand with 174 runs in two matches. He scored an unbeaten 123 against England and followed that with a half century against the Netherlands. The young batsman is in fine form and will be New Zealand’s key batsman in this match.

Shakib Al Hasan – all-rounder, Bangladesh

The Bangladesh captain is yet to deliver with the bat but with the ball, he has taken four wickets in two matches. His experience will be crucial to Bangladesh on the spin friendly Chidambaram wicket.

Najmul Hossain Shanto – batsman, Bangladesh

Najmul Hossain Shanto has been Bangladesh’s most consistent batsman over the past one month. He scored a century and a half century at the Asia Cup, a half century in the only game he played in the bilateral series against New Zealand, and another unbeaten half century at the World Cup against Afghanistan. Considering his recent form, Shanto is a good choice for you MPL team’s vice captaincy for this game.

Litton Das – wicketkeeper batsman, Bangladesh

Except for Mushfiqur Rahim who scored 51, the only other Bangladesh batsman who was able to deliver the goods against England was Litton Das. The opener scored 76 off 66 which was laced with four boundaries and two maximums. Das brings with him plenty of experience – he has played 79 ODIs for Bangladesh, scoring 2394 runs at an average of 36.27.
